Even in this Christmas season, we still have to limit our social contacts. With our new card we want to create a sense of belonging in the municipality.
Soon every family will receive a nice card in their mailbox with a heart, a candlelight and the message Have courage citizens of Wemmel! Do you also post our card at your window?
Our card is also an invitation to Wemmelaars who would like to have a chat with someone on the phone or would like to receive a note or card.

Warm Wemmel has already organized several editions of Wemmel's Got Talent - broadly accessible cultural evenings with home-grown talent at the GC De Zandloper cultural center. Warm Wemmel also supports meetings between residents, street parties, a summer bar, collective gardening, a New Year's reception, volunteering, ... Warm Wemmel also lends reception tents and reusable cups to other associations and organizations in Wemmel.
Our actions are not related to any political party. The eventual profits from events are donated to local charities or invested in materials that the citizens of Wemmel can borrow or use.
Warm Wemmel has the structure and the status of a non-profit association. Anyone who wants can participate in meetings and activities. No subscription or official registration is required. Read less...

Wemmel's Got Talent 2019

Warm Wemmel invites you all for the fourth edition of Wemmel’s Got Talent!

On the 9th of November, Warm Wemmel organizes Wemmel’s Got Talent for the fourth time at Gemeenschapscentrum De Zandloper. Not a competition, but an artistic evening with a stage full of Wemmelaars of all kinds and of all ages. Residents, but also students from Wemmel schools (Sint-Jozefschool, Mater Dei, GBS Wemmel, GO TA Campus Wemmel) and members of associations, provide fifteen acts in a cozy atmosphere, with musical interventions from the Sibeljazz combo. Afterwards we enjoy a concert by Buckwood Mojo & Friends. Deejay Samsation closes the evening with a dance party. Cafe Op 't Hoeksken, La Bottega di Dario and Kin Food serve snacks and dishes. Naturally, Cultuur Bar Bar also welcome you this evening with food and drinks. Last year more than a thousand people came to watch this colorful evening. Entrance is free. Spectators can make a free financial contribution. All profits will be used to fight poverty in our municipality.

New Year's reception 2020

Warm Wemmel invites you all to its New Year's drink!
This takes place on Sunday, January 12, from 3 pm to 6 pm in Villa Beverbos.
Who wants can also bring something to drink or to eat. Warm Wemmel provides drinks en snacks.

Loan of reusable tents and cups

Thanks to an impulse subsidy from Vlaamse Rand, Warm Wemmel was able to acquire 900 reusable cups and two 4 x 6 meter party tents. Warm Wemmel wants to make this material available to other positive Wemmel initiatives that want to make responsible use of it. Are you interested and do you want to know the conditions?
